"Born in Romania in 1983, Sister Candy has loved jazz and funk music ever since she was 14. Having many years behind of collecting lounge, funk and jazz cds, she started playing jazz and lounge music after many friend's encouragements in 2005 [when she finished Art College mastering fashion and graphics]. Alongside djing she has been active in graphic and website work for many big djs and labels in Romania, and pr-ing for a small hand of trance djs. In 2007 she's invited to host 2 weekly radio shows @ Sk Radio in Canada and Radio Trance Romania where she later became one of the top staff members and djs. In the same Year she has been invited to play at major music festivals all over the country, such as House Parade [Timisoara], Electrees [Iasi] and Freedom Of Music Fest [Cluj]. She had a small residency at a local club in her home city. She has played alongside some of the biggest djs in the country of various genres and styles. She then moved to Bucharest in late 2007, to be closer to the big dj scene. Having arrived here she also got the opportunity to pr and webmaster one of the biggest alternative bands in the country, Firma, the only band to be nominated for a big award at MTV's music awards in Germany. Sister Candy is currently working on her first album, dnb and brazil influenced songs, featuring some of the country's smoothest female voices. Also working on improving the image and popularity of female djs in Romania [a bit overshaddowed atm]. Her motto: "Follow your inner feeling and it will show you the right way to go".
