Missy Jay (aka Cee Jay) started her dj experience in her teens, watching her boyfriends spin at their studios, parties or clubs. She was so magnetized by this new world that in a short time she began to mix and build up her own studio. "I discovered a strong love for music when I was about five, at the beginning of the Eighties listening to my mum's vinyls and cassettes.When I was 8 I began "mixing" with cassettes, adding sounds noises and voices, in between songs she said reminiscing. In 1992 she discovered an innovative and avant-garde new sound in London. She travelled there a lot, cultivating each time she went there a growing fascination for that marvellous city. In 2000 she decided to move there indefinately, which turned into three years. She used to live with friends that shared the same passion . Her London home was more like a studio than a flat, living with other two djs and a producer." We had MACs, PCs a midiboard, mixers, vinyl decks, cd players, cd burners and a huge mountain of vinyls. In London she was introduced to the music industry and to the club world, till she discovered Miami. She flew there stopping in NYC on the way, in 2002 and 2003 for the WMC, Winter Music Conference, an International trade event for djs and producers. In summer 2003 Ibiza and Barcelona called. She was so enchanted by Spain that she decided, early 2004, to move to Barcelona. At the beginning of summer 2004 she flew back to Italy due to her University thesis and her residency @VARGAS (Versilia) where she is still resident on Saturdays. At the end of Summer 2004 she took the residency of CLUB 7/11 in Florence on Fridays. In Autumn 2004 she was introduced to the RedBull staff and played in their stand during the Motorshow in Bologna, one of the most important events in Italy, held once a year. In 2005 she had been the resident DJ @ COSTES throughout all year. In the Summer she had played during the MAX Honda Summer Tour 2005. She had been, during Spring and Summer 2005, Guest DJ @ FRAU, once a month. In late 2005 she moved to Milan where she took a Degree in Sound Engeneering with a specialization in Electronic Music Production. In 2006 Missy attends a course in Electronic Music Production in a famous school in Milan, she started to collaborate with few Clubs in the North of Italy and to produce electronic music (Chill Out and Funky House). She worked for Mediaset the Italian TV(Channel 4,Channel 5 and Italia 1) in Milan as Sound Engineer. In 2007 she promoted her new releases at the Midem, WMC and Sonar.She also starts her collaboration with Simon De Die and Matrix Magazine, a famous men mag.She is in the pole position for the ITALIAN MATRIX FEMALE DJ CONTEST. In the same year she starts to collaborate with some of the most important Radio group of Italy.
